Shandong-Bangkok Sister-city Exchange Cooperation Online Conference was held on August 24th. Sun Yebao, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Province, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Only Dezhou University was invited to participate online.
In his speech, Sun Yebao said that in recent years, Shandong and Bangkok have achieved fruitful results in Sister-city cooperation. As the next step, he hopes to intensify contacts between government counterparts through online communication and other methods, deepen cooperation in key areas and promote continuous friendship.
Li Yongping spoke on current development of our school, the results of cooperation with Thai universities in recent years in teacher-student exchanges, teacher training, student internship training, and the construction of "Shandong ASEAN Research Center" think tank. He hopes that, in the next step, we will promote practical cooperation with Thai universities in school running, Chinese international education, and joint researches on ASEAN topics.
The Executive Director of the Bangkok Foreign Affairs Office Tipaya Jun thanked Shandong for donating medical and epidemic prevention materials to Bangkok during the epidemic. Also, Tipaya Jun expressed the hope to strengthen cooperation with Shandong in the fields of economy, trade and education, Chinese language training, and smart cities, and looked forward to visiting Shandong with Bangkok delegation after the end of epidemic.
This online conference is the third large-scale online Sino-foreign exchange meeting in Shandong Province that our school participated in during the summer. Two times, as representative of universities, we introduced our school’s achievements in international exchanges and cooperation, which fully demonstrated the superiors’ affirmation given about international exchange work.
