On the afternoon of September 1st, Si Wanxi, a student from Thailand, registered in our university. She will study Chinese language and literature here. She is also the first international student with academic qualification in our university.
The total number of international students in our university has increased to 40 this semester. They are from Thailand, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, Bangladesh and other countries respectively. While the scale has been steadily expanding, our university has enrolled 14 foreign students with academic qualifications this semester, making an improvement of the education level of international students. Adjusting the structure of foreign students' education in our university and improving the quality of schooling will play an important role in promoting the specialty of our university, enhancing the development of international student work, and achieving sustainable development of international student work.
Recruiting international students with academic qualifications is not only a new breakthrough in international exchange and cooperation, but also a new starting point for our university's international development.
