From March 14th to 15th, Abazov Rafis, Vice President of Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, visited our university.
Zhao Changlin extended a sincere welcome to Abazov Rafis and briefly introduced the general situation of our university. He expressed the hope that, taking this visit by Vice President Abazov Rafis as an opportunity, the two sides could carry out cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation. At the same time, he hoped that Vice President Abazov Rafis could provide more support and guidance for the construction and development of the Shandong Research Center for Russian and Central Asian Economic and Cultural Studies of our university, and work together to contribute wisdom and strength to the building of a China-Central Asia community with a shared future.
After the meeting, the two sides had a discussion and exchange in the conference room on the second floor. Liu Yinfang gave a detailed introduction to the international exchange work carried out by our university, focusing on the achievements of exchanges and cooperation with universities in Russia and Central Asia, as well as the construction and development history of the Shandong Research Center for Russian and Central Asian Economic and Cultural Studies. He emphasized that the two sides should take this exchange as an opportunity to further deepen the cooperation between the two universities, and carry out more substantive cooperation projects in key areas such as teacher and student exchange visits, joint cultivation of postgraduate students, summer study tour programs, and joint scientific research cooperation, so as to promote the coordinated development of the two universities in the fields of education and scientific research.
Abazov Rafis expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception of our university and spoke highly of the running strength and development prospects of our university. He briefly introduced the basic situation of Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and pointed out that under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative, the two universities have extremely broad cooperation space in many fields such as agricultural scientific research, talent cultivation, and cultural exchanges. He hoped that both sides could seize the opportunities of the times, continuously expand the areas of cooperation, further strengthen scientific research cooperation and teacher-student exchanges, and jointly inject new impetus into promoting regional education and scientific research development.
At the symposium, Liu Yinfang presented a letter of appointment to Professor Abazov Rafis, officially appointing him as a visiting professor of our university.
Subsequently, Abazov Rafis delivered a wonderful academic report titled "Silk Road 2.0 – Cooperation, Sustainability, and Innovation in the New Belt and Road Era" to Chinese and foreign teachers and students of our university. He also conducted on-the-spot investigations in Dezhou Agricultural Industrial Park to learn about the development of smart agriculture in our city.
