On the morning of November 14th, the unveiling ceremony of the Joint Laboratory of Distributed Photovoltaic Microgrid of Dezhou University and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman was held in a combination of online and offline ways in the lecture hall on the second floor of the Houde Building. Datuk Ewe Hong Tat, academician of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and president of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Professor Bok-Min Goi, academician of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and vice president of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, and Zhao Changlin, president of our university, attended the unveiling ceremony.
In his speech, President Zhao Changlin pointed out that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the seventh year of the strategic cooperation between the two universities. With the strong promotion of the education departments of both countries, the two universities have always maintained efficient communication and continuously strengthened mutual trust. While forging a deep friendship, both sides have actively promoted practical cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, exchanges of teachers and students, and scientific research. The establishment of the Joint Laboratory of Distributed Photovoltaic Microgrid is another significant achievement in the history of cooperation between the two universities. It is hoped that both sides will take the Joint Laboratory of Distributed Photovoltaic Microgrid as a platform, establish an efficient international scientific research operation mechanism, actively apply for scientific research projects and projects under the foreign experts plan, carry out in-depth scientific research cooperation and academic exchanges, jointly overcome the technical difficulties in the field of distributed photovoltaic microgrid, produce more landmark scientific research achievements in fields such as new energy, new materials and intelligent manufacturing, promote the improvement of the scientific research level of the two universities, boost the development of enterprises and bring benefits to the people of both countries.
President Ewe Hong Tat said that the Joint Laboratory of Distributed Photovoltaic Microgrid of Dezhou University and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman has a milestone significance. It not only witnesses the continuous deepening of the cooperative relationship between our two universities but also marks a new peak in our cooperation in academic research. On the path of academic research, our two universities have always supported each other, made progress together, and jointly explored the frontiers and unknowns of science. Especially in the field of cultural exchange, the Confucius Institute at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman jointly established by us has built a bridge for promoting Chinese language education and Chinese culture. Fifty students from Dezhou University have come to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman for exchange and study, which has promoted the mutual understanding among students of our two universities and also injected new vitality into our cooperation. Today, the Joint Laboratory of Distributed Photovoltaic Microgrid that we jointly unveiled is precisely our new cooperative achievement in the scientific field. I believe that with the joint efforts of both sides, this laboratory will become an important platform for promoting scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation and international cooperation in the field of photovoltaic microgrid.
