On the morning of August 5th, the Party Secretary and Governor of Xieng Khouang Province of Laos, the H.E Mr. Bounchanh Sivongphanh and his delegation visited our university. Somphone Syaphay, Director-General and Secretary-General of Xieng Khuang Province, Laos, Sywone Onlavong, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Xieng Khuang Province, Laos, Khamphouy Nola, Director of the Department of Investment of Xieng Khuang Province, Laos, Bounkhong Nanthavong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Xieng Khuang Province, Laos, Zhang Fangrui, Dean of Foreign Affairs Office of Dezhou City, Che Bin, Party Secretary of Dezhou University, Li Yongping, Member of the Party Committee Vice-President and other officials attended the event. The two sides discussed educational exchanges and cooperation.
At the symposium, Che Bin expressed his warm welcome to the arrival of the Party Secretary and Governor of Xieng Khouang Province of Laos, the H.E Mr. Bounchanh Sivongphanh and his delegation. He briefly introduced the history and development of the school with a focus on the internationalization of school management. He hoped to take this exchange as an opportunity to sincerely invite outstanding students from Xieng Khouang Province to study and exchange at Dezhou University. More importantly, he hoped that both sides would strengthen the exchange between teachers, and constantly expand the cooperation in the fields of education, culture, youth, etc., which aim to contribute to the further cooperation between Shandong Province and Dezhou City and Xieng Khouang Province.
H.E. Mr. Bounchanh Sivongphanh expressed his gratitude to Dezhou University for its warm and thoughtful reception. H.E. Mr. Bounchanh Sivongphan introduced the basic situation of Xieng Khouang Province and its education, economic and social development. He said that he was deeply impressed by the beautiful campus scenery and the prosperous development of Dezhou University, which set a good example for them to study. He hoped that both sides could constantly strengthen friendly exchanges, and further promote the sustainable development of bilateral cooperation.
Before the symposium, the H.E Mr. Bounchanh Sivongphanh and his delegation visited the beautiful campus scenery, especially the University History Museum and the ASEAN Research Center.
