School Held the Lecture Series with International University Partners: Life and Culture of Studying in Gdańsk University of Technology, Poland

On April 26th, our school invited Ms. Wang Rui from the International Relations Department of Gdańsk University of Technology to give an online lecture entitled “Welcome to Gdańsk University of Technology”. Prof. Chridtian Jungnickel, Prof. Piotr Musznicki, Chinese students from Gdańsk University of Technology, the 1st year Undergraduate students from the Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Education Project of Energy and Power Engineering major, and some teachers from Energy and Power Engineering department attended the activity.

First of all, Ms. Wang Rui introduced the basic situation and colorful life of foreign students studying at Gdańsk University of Technology, and gave a detailed explanation on the issues about which students are concerned about, such as postgraduate application, notes for studying abroad, study expenses and tuition level in Poland. Two professors from Gdańsk University of Technology respectively introduced the situation in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technologyand inthe Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering. Students majoring in Chinese-foreign cooperative education projectof Energy and Power Engineering will be jointly taught relevant professional courses by outstanding teachers of these two faculties.

Afterwards, during the online meeting, Chinese students shared their experiences in studying abroad then interacted and communicated with each other.

This activity is one of the lecture series held by Dezhou University with international university partners, which helps teachers and students to have a deeper understanding of the study and life at Gdańsk University of Technology. This meeting has narrowed the distance between students and teachers, who are participants of joint Chinese-Polish educational project, strengthened the study atmosphere, boosted students’enthusiasm for studying, and laid a solid foundation for the following Chinese-Polish cooperative education project.

Gdańsk University of Technology is an important partner of ouruniversity. Ourtwo sides have carried out academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation for many years. The Chinese-foreign cooperative education project for undergraduate students majoring in Energy and Power Engineering has been jointly running by the two universities and had been approved by the Ministry of Education of China in 2020. This approved educational project is the first undergraduate level Chinese-foreign school-running project in our university, with the first successfully completed enrollment in 2021.
