According to the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools and its implementation measures, in order to implement the terms of the agreement with Gdańsk University of Technology and ensure the healthy development of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools, the meeting of the Joint Management Committee of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools for energy and power engineering major in 2022 was held in the 6th conference room of Houde Building on April 26th. Affected by the epidemic, this meeting was held in the form of remote video conference. Li Yongping, Vice-President of Dezhou University, Janusz Nieznański, Vice-Rectorfor Internationalization and Innovation of Gdańsk Universityof Technology, Dariusz Mikielewicz, Vice-Rector for Organization and Development of Gdańsk University of Technology, and all the members of the Joint Management Committee of energy and power engineering major attended the meeting.
In President Li Yongping’s speech, he affirmed the achievements of the two universities in the cooperation project, thanked the relevant departments of both universities for their efforts in the implementation of this project, and reported to the Joint Management Committee about the enrollment, teaching, and management of the project in the academic year of 2021-2022. He hoped that through this meeting, the two sides would effectively solve the problems encountered during the running of the project, always take moral education as the key to teaching, constantly explore new ideas and measures to improve the quality of personnel training and expand the mode of cooperative education between the two universities, strive to make the project as a model of cooperative education in the field of higher education in the both countries China and Poland.
Vice-Rector Janusz Nieznański fully recognized the effectiveness of the cooperation between the two universities. He said that Gdańsk University of Technology has always attached great importance to cooperation with Dezhou University, and our two universities share the same goal in ensuring the high-quality development of Chinese-foreign cooperative education projects. Gdańsk University of Technology have made full preparations in remote education, teaching staff, practical training and other aspects, and will provide high-quality teaching for the students of Chinese-foreign cooperative education projects for energy and power engineering major according to the academic plan jointly formulated by both universities.
In the meeting, Vice-President Li Yongping read out the decision on Changing the Membership List of Joint Management Committee of Energy and Power Engineering Major between Dezhou University and Gdańsk University of Technology.
The participating members also discussed the teaching management, the selection of teaching materials, the introduction of teachers, the allocation of experimental equipment, the teaching management committee and other issues. Also, effective communication on issues such as promoting the development of cooperative education projects and the long-term cooperation planning between the two universities reached a preliminary consensus.
Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Education Project at the Undergraduate Level of Energy and Power Engineering Majors between Dezhou University and Gdańsk University of Technology is the first approved undergraduate-level Chinese-foreign school-running project (undergraduate-level)in our university, and its first enrollment was successfully completed in 2021. Since the project was put into effect, both universities have always kept close communication, thus effectively ensuring the operation of the project. This meeting of the Joint Management Committee will further promote the high-quality and connotative development of cooperation projects.
