Recently, The Ministry of Education issued the Notice on the Approval of Sino-foreign Cooperative School Projects in the Second Half of 2020 (No. 8). This is the second project after the approval of energy and power engineering major (the cooperation with Gdansk University of Technology ). The second project was jointly organized by our university and Belgorod State Research University of Russia. The Ministry of Education so far has approved 51 Sino-foreign Joint Education Projects, including 5 universities in Shandong Province.
The Sino-foreign Joint Education project at the undergraduate level of biotechnology major is integrated into the national general higher education enrollment plan. It begins to recruit students in 2021. The plan is to recruit 120 students per year and 4 years of schooling. The project will rely on the advantages of our university and Belgorod State Research University. We hope to innovate the talent training mode, introduce the high quality educational resources of Russia, and train the applied talents of biotechnology specialty with global vision, international rules and innovative ability.
The approved project is a concrete measure for our school to actively implement the Ministry of Education's action to promote the construction of "Belt and Road" education, to carry out educational interconnection and cooperation with universities of countries along the route, and to promote the construction of educational community. It is also an important embodiment of our school's internationalization of “14th Five-Year Plan”. For us, It is of great significance to speed up the pace of our school's internationalization development, introduce foreign high-quality educational resources, improve the level of discipline and specialty, and promote the construction of high-level applied institutions in our school. Our school will run the project according to strict accordance with the regulations and the laws on Sino-foreign joint Education Project, adhere to the fundamental task of Morality Education, honestly introduce high-quality educational resources, strengthen education and teaching management, and ensure the sustainable and healthy development of Sino-foreign cooperative education project.
Belgorod State Research University of Russia was founded in 1876. It is one of the oldest universities in Russia. In 2009, it became one of the universities initiated by Shanghai Universities Alliance Cooperation in the direction of nanotechnology. In 2010, it won the status of national research university and joined the Russian Association of First-class Universities. In 2019, it ranked 21st in Russian Universities.
Since 2003, our school has established friendly and cooperative relationship with Belgorod State Research University of Russia.The long-term friendly cooperation between the two schools has been strongly supported and fully affirmed by the Ministry of Education and Education Department of Shandong Province. For many years, two schools have been working together on students training, scientific research, cultural exchanges and other areas.
