Professors Feng Zhiquan and Zhao Xiuyang, from Jinan University came to our university to give academic lectures.

On May 14, two professors and PhD supervisors, Feng Zhiquan and Zhao Xiuyang, from the School of Information Science and Engineering of Jinan University were invited to our university to give academic lectures.

In the morning, Professors Feng Zhiquan and Zhao Xiuyang gave the teachers of the School of Information and Management two academic lectures entitled “Gesture interaction: progress and challenge” and “Medical function platform for bone repair” respectively in Conference Room 0302 of Houde Building.

Professor Feng Zhiquan first introduced the latest research status of gesture interaction at home and abroad, explained in detail the key scientific problems, technical difficulties and core algorithms of gesture interaction, and vividly demonstrated the latest progress of the human-computer interaction team of Jinan University in the field of gesture interaction and its application to VR and intelligent teaching platform. Finally he reported the latest progress of the two national key R & D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology that he participated in.

Professor Zhao Xiuyang mainly introduced the current status of research on bone repair at home and abroad, the most urgent problems and solutions in bone repair, such as three-dimensional high-precision modeling, guide design, and correction of irregular bones, as well as the latest progress in the study of medical function platform of bone repair of Jinan University.

During the lectures, the two professors gave a lot of constructive suggestions and guidance on disciplinary construction, specialty construction, and project application, and interacted with the teachers of the School of Information and Management on issues, such as how to transform the research results of the project to practice. More than 20 teachers from the School of Information Management attended the lecture.
