Chinese Diplomats in Russia Gave a Lecture at the University

On October 30, Mei Hancheng, First Secretary of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, came to our university to give a lecture.

In the concert hall, Mei Hancheng gave a lecture on "Current Situation and Prospects of Sino-Russian Educational Exchanges and Cooperation". He talked about the basic national conditions of Russia, building of China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era, and continued deepening of Sino-Russian educational exchanges and cooperation. He introduced in detail Russia's population, cities, economy, culture, arts, sports, education, the current highly mutual-trust relationship between the two countries, and the status and prospects of educational cooperation. He elaborated the indestructible friendship and unbreakable cooperative relationship between China and Russia, their high degree of strategic mutual trust, their collaboration to meet various global challenges by taking his rich diplomatic experiences as examples. The two countries have enhanced the stability of the world and contributed to the building of a community of shared future for mankind, which demonstrates the responsibility of great powers. He also introduced the current Sino-Russian students, Chinese and Russian promotion, joint education, and university alliances with detailed data. He pointed out specific directions for Sino-Russian higher education cooperation.
