School of Life Sciences Holds an Academic Report on "Systematic Research on Some Taxonomic Units of Orthopteroidea in China"

On the morning of September 10th, Associate Researcher, Liu Chunxiang from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made an academic report entitled "Systematic Research on Some Taxonomic Units of Orthopteroidea in China".

Liu Chunxiang deals with the systematic taxonomy of the Chinese phaneropteridae subfamily, the Chinese tettigonioidea subfamily, and the Chinese Mantodea, and he also introduces the research progress of the mitochondrial genome of the echinacea and the zoraptera. After the report, Liu Chunxiang had an academic discussion with teachers and students, and also gave some advices and suggestions on the construction of insect specimen room in the School of Life Sciences, and the development of the key laboratory of functional biological resources in Shandong Province. He also discussed the issues about fund application with the teachers in our university.

The academic conference was co-organized by the School of Life Sciences, the Institute of Biophysics, and the Office of Scientific Research. Teachers and students from the relevant units took part in the academic conference.
